Seattle Lutheran High School’s Auto Shop class provides an opportunity for students to work on a classic car for a year with a couple of automotive enthusiasts and learn what it takes to put a car together.
Students have a chance to work on all aspects of an auto restoration project, including suspension, interior, body, engine, cooling, electrical, basic assembly, and fabrication – depending on what the current year’s project requires.
Students learn proper use of hand tools and power tools – and many classes have the opportunity to learn basic welding skills.
The class meets twice a month on Sunday afternoons for a total of 18 class sessions.
