Host an International Student 

Do you have a loving family and a spare room available at your home? Invite an international student to stay with you this year during his or her high school experience in the U.S.

Seattle Lutheran High School seeks qualified host families to provide a safe and nurturing home environment for international high school students attending our school from abroad.

If you live within a 30 minute commute to and from the school, you may be eligible to apply.

Students have their own insurance and spending money. The family should speak English at home and ensure that the student eats three nutritious meals per day. Being able to involve the student in family events and activities is a big plus.

Participating families will be offered a stipend of $1,000 per month for the 10-month academic year.

Our home-stay service company, Green Planet, will provide you with dedicated support staff, host family training and 24-7 emergency support throughout the school year, as well as quarterly group activities for you and the student to share with other participating families.
