Weather Watch from Chris Scragg ’13
As of now we are in a very fall like weather pattern. We are getting hit with wet and windy weather systems one after the other. The system currently affecting us is bringing very wet and moderately windy conditions. However, models are showing a much more potent 980mb storm system making landfall on Northern Vancouver Island late night Friday into early morning Saturday. This system has the potential to bring sustained winds of 25 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 across most of the Seattle area including West Seattle. The system will also bring a lot of rain to the area. The very complex and fragile weather models have the potential to change the forecast suddenly. I will be releasing updates at least daily on my live weather stream.
