Pi Day – 3.14

It is Pi Day today and our math students celebrated a day early with round treats and objects. Used in formulae in trigonometry and geometry, pi – 3.14159 or 22/7 is an irrational number. Pi is used to calculate the ratio of a circle’s circumference to it’s diameter. The use of pi is ubiquitous in mathematics, science and engineering. Thank you, Ms Tarabochia, for making math real and relevant!
