SLHS Productions presents an Evening of 1940’s Radio Mystery.
Seattle Lutheran’s fall drama production will be an Evening of 1940’s Radio Mystery! We will turn back the clock to the time when families gathered around their radios in the evening to hear tales of adventure, mystery and suspense. Our “KSLH FM” studio will perform two stories for the enjoyment of our listeners and our “live studio audience”, complete with live sound effects! First up is Adventures of the Thin Man: The Case of the Goofy Groom, starring married detectives Nick and Nora Charles on the case to discover who is trying to murder their good friend and his new wife. This story, full of jealousy, gangsters, and witty repartee, was actually broadcast on the radio in 1946. The evening will conclude with The 39 Steps: A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry, which is a radio adaptation of the classic film by Alfred Hitchcock. Will Richard Hannay be able to prove he is innocent of murder while bringing down a dangerous spy ring? Find out at our Evening of 1940’s Radio Mystery!
