Step up SLHS

STEP UP 4 SEALU, Friday, June 1st@ 11 AM

Two feet. Fifteen-minutes. How many times can YOU climb to the top Seattle Lutheran’s stairs?

YOU! Students, staff, parents…everyone is invited to join the fun and help us raise funds for SeaLu.

Our Parent Association wants to upgrade our classrooms and provide continuing education grants for our teachers. Also: WAY FUN. No better reasons to put your best foot forward!

The course starts in Seattle Lutheran’s gym, takes you UP three flights of stairs, back down one, out through the courtyard cheering section, down the outside stairs and back to the gym. RINSE, REPEAT. As many times as you can in fifteen minutes.

Do I Have To Climb?

  1. You do not have to climb to participate! Everyone who raises at least $25 (whether you climb or not) will be entered into our drawing for a Super Swag Bag of goodies! And everyone who does not climb, automatically becomes part of our cheer squad. Whether you want to line up to cheer in the courtyard or help stamp climbers in the gym as they pass each lap, there’s a role for everyone at Step Up 4 SeaLu. But of course, climbers get most of the glory. And more chances at prizes!

Did you say PRIZES?

We did!  The Step Up 4 SeaLu Grand Prize is anAlki Beach party, given to the grade that raises the most money overall. The last week of school, they get a skip day to come to our Alki Beach Cabana and enjoy drinks, lunch, paddleboards, frisbee, football, squirt guns, corn hole and more!

Additionally, each individual stairclimb category winner will get $100 in gift cards to places like Hotwire Coffee, Amazon, West Seattle Runner, Georgetown Records, AMC Movie Theaters, Head to Toe Spa and more! Individual prize categories are:

–Most Moolah (biggest individual fundraiser)

–Stepper Supreme (the most course laps in 15-minutes)

–Best Stair Flair (because sometimes it is more important to be FABULOUS than fast)

Finally, as we mentioned above there is also the Super Swag Bag Raffle, which is automatically entered by everyone who has raised at least $25.

Step 1: Create a fundraising page at

Step 2: Share the link to your page! Use Facebook, email, Twitter…you’ll be surprised who’ll support you. (Pro tip: have your kid write their own appeal and you share it. Folks are much more responsive to a kid’s personal ask for help).

Step 3. Come on June 1stat 11 AM and climb! Or cheer! Or let us know if you want to volunteer!
