Love
The Valentine season always brings new energy. This week there has been positive energy from our wonderful student body. Our chapel this past week was done by Pastor Peter at Hope and he shared a fantastic message on love and how we treat ourselves and others. All students are thinking Valentine and the possibility of love in the air and he gave them a wonderful interpretation of what we as Christians enjoy, undeserved love. The message hit home with me because we are also talking with the student body about being different, don’t change because you think you need to be accepted, understand you are unique because you were made this way and be with those who love you for you.
As we move into the spring semester, all of us not just students, need to know how loved we are not because of our actions or what we do, but because God has made us perfect in His eyes. I value the students that take this to the next level and share kind words and thoughts with each other. The value of knowing we are loved for who we are gives me the confidence to share with others by lifting them up, not trying to change them, intimidate them or judge them but love them.
Happy Valentines’ Day to all and know you are tremendously Loved.
Go Saints!
In Him,
Dave Meyer
