Corona Virus (COVID-19) Guidelines and Procedures

As we have been traveling this road of uncertainty together for the past 5 months there are two areas that keep my confidence and hope alive while taking this journey.

The first is the understanding that we are all loved and cared for tremendously by a God who constantly marinades us in Grace (undeserved love). Every day with a new change, we are confident that our God is with us walking hand in hand.

“Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged for the Lord you God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

The second, would be the community that we call Seattle Lutheran. We all are in this together, not only with our world, but more so with our community at Seattle Lutheran High School. We have had people helping with all aspects of planning, decisions, and prayer and support. The confidence comes from all working together to make our community’s health and safety a priority as well as recognizing the growth opportunities for all of us during this time.

Our goal in this decision-making process is to determine the appropriate way to start the Fall 2020 school year for Seattle Lutheran High School amid this global pandemic. While we consider these decisions, it is important to revisit the values of the institution that focus on partnering with families in supporting young adults’ growth. These values include taking a personal approach in education.

As we worked together on the best way to start off the 2020-21 school year, we need to stay true to those values. Our size has always allowed us to be unique, and in these unprecedented times, it allows us to continue to be unique….Not all or nothing, but personal.
