SLHS Overview

Welcome to Seattle Lutheran High School

home of the Saints!

Seattle Lutheran opened its doors in 1978 and welcomed 82 students, 49 freshmen and 33 sophomores, from as far as Federal Way to Edmonds and grew from there. Today, that still holds true as students attend from the greater Seattle area and seven countries around the world. On average, 97% of our graduates matriculate to colleges and universities around the nation.

As one of the only private high schools in West Seattle, students enjoy a wide variety of courses and extracurricular activities that not only enrich their high school experience, but also prepare them for life beyond the four walls of our unique school. Surrounding students with staff and faculty who are student-centered and instill confidence, hope, integrity and passion encourages them to be life-long learners and ready to take on any challenge life may have to offer.

Your interests may vary from sports to drama to robotics or somewhere in-between; at Seattle Lutheran you won’t have to choose just one area of interest or activity. If you are willing to put in the time and take the initiative, we will encourage you to try everything to find your passion.

If you are interested in learning more about the Saints family, we invite you to visit our school to see how the Saints of Seattle Lutheran High School  live and learn.
